NRCからの報告書を受けて、専門誌での議論も始まった。Risk Analysis誌では、2009年4月号において特集されている。他方、Toxicological Sciences誌では、Forum Seriesとして、2009年2月号から毎号様々な論点からのコメントがシリーズとして現在も進行中である。
